Kids' birthday bash: Day -1

Ah! pin drop silence. It feels good. The kids finally went for their afternoon nap, and Manisha has stepped out for a minute. Relatively relaxing day so far. First of all it is Friday, then Monday being Labor day, the office is going to be closed, so not much work was to be done today. Shrugging off the rising gas prices, Americans are determined to travel vigorously by car or by plane this weekend. This is also the last holiday of the summer, and you dont want to miss the opportunity. So it's a three day weekend plus many people are going to take a couple of days off before or after to make it a super long weekend. I am saving my vacation for my upcoming India trip. So, anyway, work was really relaxed. I came back home at around lunch time to finish off anything else left for the party. Today was the day of cooking. All the four burners of the gas burnt furiously throughout the day, and the house smells so much of Indian spices that you feel like you are in India. If a non-Indian comes into the house, he might faint.

The food is all cooked, already. The only thing left for today is the setup in the backyard. Mainly, we need to setup a volleyball court, and a makeshift gazebo to provide some shade to the guests.

Alright, got to catch Star Voice of India, my favorite show, now. Tomorrow is D-day. I will keep you posted.
